Mobile technology plus contemporary art, plus a pinch of gamification. This was our recipe for an app for MOCAK (Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow). In cooperation with the client we needed to create, design, then develop a mobile and desktop app to promote the museum and to educate users about what they can find inside.
About project
We used hybrid technology to create the app to make possible transfering the source code to different platforms (iOS, Android, WWW). The solution makes updating data in the app much easier which allows to cut the costs.
In addition, we created navigation based on 4-dimension shape that was projected on 3D space and moving with the gyroscope. The effect was totally MOCAK style: ultra innovative app using new technologies in the smartest way.
Result
We built the application using hybrid technology, which made it easy to deploy the same source code across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, and Web). The final result perfectly aligns with MOCAK’s visual style: an innovative application that elegantly uses the latest technologies and gamification mechanisms to engage users and promote art.
The user has five tasks related to the works of contemporary artists. These who will manage to carry out the task will win free tickets to the MOCAK museum.
